Dr. Oz Inspires Hundreds At
Highline's Women's Wellness Event
They'd seen him on Oprah Winfrey and read about him in Time magazine. But on October 4, more than 600 women got to experience Dr. Mehmet Oz up close and personal as he delivered the keynote address at "Live Healthy, Stay Young," Highline Medical Center's Women's Wellness Event. They were not disappointed. Appearing in his trademark blue scrubs, he delivered an inspiring, informative and sometimes hilarious presentation on how to stay healthy and well, then took questions from the audience. He was rewarded with two standing ovations — one upon his arrival and a second when he completed his speech. His presentation was the highlight of the all-day event held at the Seattle Hilton & Conference Center. It featured a wide variety of workshops by local healthcare experts and an introduction by Washington's former first lady Mona Locke, who urged women to get regular mammograms.
